A square ring can feel good on fingers that are more prone to swelling (in heat, or due to arthritis, etc) as they allow a little more breathing room without compromising on a good fit.
Or maybe your fingers are just more square than round.. Look at your finger straight on, looking from the tip of your finger down towards the knuckle. Is it perfectly round? Or is it more of a square-ish shape? Every person and every finger is unique, and the jewellery you wear should reflect that.
The more angular look of a square ring can have big appeal too - I personally love the strong geometric shape. And lastly - the ease of getting a square ring on and off is noticeable! You can twist a square ring as you push/pull the ring over the finger joint, to avoid that internal panic when it feels like it might be stuck (it happens!). Particularly great if you suffer with swollen or arthritic joints.
